Entry Criteria

Criteria
Two types of business may be offered entry to the MIC. The first is new technology or high growth companies who demonstrate growth potential and the second is businesses who provide services to technology or high growth companies to assist their growth.A technology company is a company whose product offering is based around a new technology or innovative process, this is distinct from a company who uses a new technology to sell or market its product.
Demonstration of growth potential would be indicated by a company whose growth plans included increasing its sales to a point where it needed to employ, sub-contract or take agents to assist in the manufacture, development or sales of its product. It would not be a 'lifestyle' company where the business would continue to provide subsistence to one or two people.
A service business who supports and assists the growth of a technology business would be defined as a service business that specifically provides its services to such businesses, for example a public relations company who provides its services specifically to technology led companies.
These criteria are not meant to be black and white and judgement will be exercised in the assessment of applicant companies.
